JW Stephens and Sons began working on an extensive renovation to a home we purchased on Lake Blue Ridge in August 2020. We had never worked with a general contractor before and were apprehensive about the process. I recall at our first meeting JW saying to us, “We’ll take care of you.” Danny Stephens added, “and we’ll make you laugh.” They kept both of these promises over and over again. JW and Danny built a house for us that is better than what we could have wished for. Each and every time we called either one of them with a question or concern, they either picked up the phone immediately or called back within minutes. They regularly provided a detailed accounting of how they were spending our money and were always courteous both to us and our neighbors. We are not particularly easy people to please, and to say that we are pleased with the house JW, Danny and their folks built for us is an understatement. After we were all moved in and had time to get settled, we turned our attention to our dock that needed resurfacing and painting. Once again, they exceeded expectations...it looks fantastic. We feel that we received so much value for the money. After the entire process was over, we feel like JW and Danny are not just our contractors but also our friends!
